Amy & Mo

Mo is an LMSW who has a background working in varied settings within his community as a therapist, case manager, and designated examiner. Mo has been working in the mental health field for 8 years.

Mo and Amy work alongside each other in the inpatient psychiatric hospital, collaborating and working together, along with their interdisciplinary team members to implement best practices and promote desired outcomes for their patients and families, that are holistic in nature, integrate the mind, body, and spirit. They are passionate about their work and their clientele, and seek to share their knowledge and experience with their colleagues, community, and larger audiences for the greater good.

Through this podcast, Amy and Mo aim to address some of the most controversial topics they  encounter in their professions. They will share their own thoughts, feelings, and beliefs based on their experiences, both personally and professionally. Both Mo and Amy are fierce and caring individuals who aren’t afraid to hold back, speak straight to the hard things, and foster a culture where anything is up for discussion, approaching topics with transparent truth. They strive to challenge the social norms, existing opinions of their own and others, and cultivate critical thinking and discussion through their platforms.

Within the platform of their podcast, they will invite individuals from their community to participate and partner in sharing their knowledge and experience related to modern medicine, mental health, and the passion that fueled their dedication, discipline, and determination to invest in their career fields.

“Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation and social standing, never can bring about a reform. Those who are really in earnest must be willing to be anything or nothing in the world’s estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathy with despised and persecuted ideas and their advocates, and bear the consequences.”
